Scene-its Shaker Card

Hello fellow crafters!

We had another successful class, making a shaker card from the Hobby Art Scene-its 'Town House' stamp set (which can be found on D&P's website). Also used was an embossing folder called 'Snowflake Banner' that can be found on the website.

Our lovely crafters worked very hard learning how to use masking techniques to achieve their background pictures. See below for the sample card used by the class.

Here are a few pictures of our crafters hard at work...

D&P would like to say a big thank you to Cousins Conservatories, who without them, we would not be able to hold these workshops. The conservatory makes for a very light, airy and warm place to work. If you are interested in learning more about Cousins Conservatories, please click here.

If you are interested in joining our welcoming and friendly group of crafters, we have spaces available for a new class running on Wednesday afternoons. Please phone Pat on 01403 261423 for more information.

Kanban's New Spinner Cards

Pat has been very busy this week making card samples from products that can be found on our website, to hopefully aid you in making your own stunning cards.

***

Take a look at the pictures below for a peek at what Pat has made using Kanban's latest spinner card collection called Merry Christmas Mr Snowman. This is just one of the five lovely different designs that can be found on our website.

This is the same card, but as you can see the spinner in the centre of the card lets you change whether the Moon or 'Merry Christmas' is shown. (Found here)

***

The next card was made from the Joanna Sheens David Wolverson Decoupage Flower collection which come in 2 x 10 designs. This is a stunning collection. (Found here)

Other design packs are also available.  Take a look at our card gallery for more inspiration.

Happy crafting crafters!

D&P Workshop

Christmas Exploding Box!

What awful weather! But hey, that didn't stop our eager crafters from enjoying themselves today at our Christmas exploding box workshop in Hillier's Nursery.

We used a wide range of tools and products to create festive exploding boxes, all of which can be bought through D&P's website  at www.dandpcraftshop.co.uk or by visiting our shop in Horsham.
Our crafters thoroughly enjoyed putting these boxes together and being imaginative with the decorations. See the pictures below to see the crafters in action!

The poinsettia was made by using the Nellie Snellen Floral Punch Large Rose Leaf. Punch 8 green leaves, 8 red leaves and a 1.5 inch circle. Using silicone glue, layer the green leaves on the circle to the outer edge with the red leaves placed in between the green leaves to give a layered effect. Use a stamen punch to create the centre. See images below.

Come and join our friendly group of crafters for more exciting classes, which are run once a month on a Wednesday morning. In the next class (17/10/12) will be using Kanban Christmas toppers to make delightful stepper and shaker cards. Please call Pat for more information on 01403 264123.

Stack-Its Update

Good News - the Stack-Its have finally arrived except for a couple of designs on back order. For those of you not quite sure what they are, I have pasted below information from one of our news letters

This latest form of 3d is quick to do and looks very effective. There are 6-7 varying sizes of the same image and these are placed one on top of the other (using 3d pads) starting with the largest one first. This creates a pyramid effect from the largest to the smallest image. These are available in both general
(Including Oriental) and Christmas designs.

All the Stack-Its are now on our online shop

Don't forget FGS are running a Christmas Card making Competition using their new Christmas 3d. !st prize is 100 sheets of all occasions decoupage. A great prize!!
